iXpand Sync can natively playback/display several media types including Photos, Videos, Music, and Documents.
Supported file types:
Photos: BMP, TIF, TIFF, JPG, PNG, XBM, ICO, TGA
NOTE: File sizes up to 30MB are supported.
Video: MP4, MOV
NOTE: Some of the above video containers may contain video or audio codecs that are not supported. If the underlying video or audio codec is not supported you will see an error that the file contains an unsupported codec.
NOTE: Playback of DRM enabled files is not supported by iXpand Sync.
Music: MP3, AIF, WAV, AIFF, M4A, WMA, AAC, OGG, FLAC
NOTE: Playback of DRM enabled files is not supported by iXpand Sync.
Documents: DOC, DOCX, PDF, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX
NOTE: File sizes up to 30MB are supported
To playback any supported file type, simply tap on the file you wish to playback or view.
If your file is not supported by the iXpand Sync application you may still be able to open the file using another application on your iPhone or iPad. To open files using other apps please see Opening files in external apps via iXpand Sync.
Note: Support for certain audio and video formats may not be available depending on the compatibility of the host device.
