Formatting SanDisk USB flash drives in FAT32 format using Disk Utility on macOS
NOTE: Formatting deletes all data on your SanDisk USB flash drive. Please be sure to back up all data on your SanDisk product prior to formatting.
How to Format a USB Flash Drive to FAT32 on macOS
- Connect the SanDisk USB flash drive to the Mac computer
- Go to Applications, Utilities and double click and open Disk Utility
- Select the SanDisk USB flash drive from the sidebar and choose Erase
- Select the format MS-DOS (FAT) for "Format", Master Boot Record for "Scheme" and click Erase
