Sansa player not recognized by the Sansa Firmware Updater
Why is my Sansa player not being detected by the Sansa Firmware Updater when I connect it to the PC?
STEP 1 - Set the USB mode to MSC
1. Disconnect the player from the computer.
2. Navigate to the USB Mode settings.
3. Select MSC.
STEP 2 - Start Sansa Firmware Updater manually
1. Connect the player to the PC.
2. On the PC's desktop, click Start > Programs > SanDisk > Sansa Updater > Sansa Updater.
NOTE: If the player already has the latest firmware, the Firmware Updater will do nothing.
1. Disconnect the player from the computer.
2. Navigate to the USB Mode settings.
3. Select MSC.
STEP 2 - Start Sansa Firmware Updater manually
1. Connect the player to the PC.
2. On the PC's desktop, click Start > Programs > SanDisk > Sansa Updater > Sansa Updater.
NOTE: If the player already has the latest firmware, the Firmware Updater will do nothing.
