32GB microSDHC card not detected after formatting in Google Nexus One or Motorola Droid phones
My 32GB microSDHC card is NOT detected after formatting in Google Nexus One or Motorola Droid phones. The 'Total' and 'Available' space on the phone shows 'Unavailable' and the microSD card icon displays an '!'. What do I do?

A 32GB microSDHC card may not be detected in a Google Nexus One or Motorola Droid phone after formatting. This problem can be fixed by formatting using a PC per instructions below

NOTE: This problem is only identified with the Motorola Droid firmware version 2.0.1 and  Google Nexus One firmware version 2.1.

Additional symptoms of the problem includes:
1. The Total and Available space on the phone shows "Unavailable".
2. The microSDHC card icon displays an "!".
3. PC verification with card reader shows the card as only 2GB.


SOLUTION
1. Go to the Home Screen.
2. Connect the phone to an USB port on the PC.
3. Click the Menu button on the phone.
4. Click Notifications.
5. Select USB connected.
6. Select Mount.
7. Open My Computer on the PC.
8. Right-click on the Removable Disk icon associated with the phone, and select Format.
9. Under File system, select FAT32.
10. Make sure Quick Format is NOT checked.
11. Click Start.
