Formatting the Sansa player on a Mac OS 10.6 and resolving FAT Corrupt Error on Sansa
To format a device on your Mac OS X 10.6:
1. On your desktop, double-click on Macintosh HD.
2. Click the Applications folder.
3. Click the Utilities folder.
4. Double-click Disk Utility.
5. The left pane shows the drives connected to the computer. Select the capacity of the drive associated to the one containing the device you wish to format, then click the Partition tab
6. Under the Volume Scheme list, select 1 Partition, then select MS-DOS (FAT) under the Format list
7. Click the Options button
8. Select Master Boot Record as the partition scheme, then click OK
9. Click Apply
10. Click Partition to begin formatting
