Sansa Fuze+ supported video and music formats
What video and music formats does the Sansa Fuze+ player support?

The Sansa Fuze+ player supports the following music and video formats

Music: MP3, WMA, Secure WMA, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, AAC, Audible, Podcasts
Video: MPEG-4, H.264, WMV and Flip Video™
Photo: JPEG and BMP
(Additional video and photo formats can be converted. See Below.)


Note: Sansa Fuze+ requires using a conversion application to transfer photos and videos in correct format to your Sansa Fuze+ player.


Sansa Media Converter (SMC)
Sandisk recommends using Sansa Media Converter which will transfer videos and photos in proper format for the Fuze+. SMC is downloaded through the Sansa Firmware Updater. You will need to download and install the Sansa Firmware Updater. Sansa Firmware Updater will provide an option to download the SMC when you connect your Sansa Fuze+ to your computer.

SMC supports the following media types:

Image files: BMP, GIF, JPEG, PCX, PNG, TGA, TIFF
Video Files: ASF, AVI, DAT, DivX(ver 6.0), DVR-MS, MOV,  MP4, MPEG 1, QT, WMV, and 3gp/3gpp2

Output Format for Other Video Converters
You can use other video conversion applications (for example: AnyVideoConverter). The MP4 output format required for Fuze+ is provided below:

Profile: Mobile Phone MPEG-4 Movie (*.MP4)
Video Size: 320x240
Video BitRate: 384
Video FrameRate: 30FPS
Audio BitRate: 192Kbps
Sample Rate: 44100
